Dummy Bar
The dummy bar is a very important part of the continuous casting machine. The head of the dummy bar sticks into the mold 1/4
and the tail is clamped in the tension leveler. The dummy bar is composed of a dummy head, a dummy body, an adjustment
block. The dummy bar has a chain structure and can only be bent in one direction along the radius of the casting arc.
Leaf Spring Type Elastic Series Dummy Bar
The main structure of the leaf spring type elastic series dummy bar is a curved spring plate developed according to
different arc radius continuous casting machines, which is installed in the transition section, the middle section and the
tail section of the dummy rod. The spring plate has a certain elastic steel property and a related curvature. When the
dummy bar is parked on the roller table, the leaf spring of the front plate of the dummy bar is pressed into a horizontal
state by the self-weight of the dummy bar itself. When the dummy rod is moved to the curved section IA, the front axle
is bent to the outer side and the self-weight moment is reduced when the front part is close to the vertical state, so that
the spring plate returns to the arc state, and the dummy rod is separated from the guide roller frame to reach the rigid
spindle. The performance of the rod enables the spindle rod with a certain curvature to be accurately introduced into the
lower mouth of the crystallizer, so that the IA section guiding device can be eliminated, the structure of the second cooling
chamber can be simplified, and the work of drawing steel for the steel pulling process is greatly facilitated. This series of
spindle rods can also be used in one shot. It can be applied to a variety of sections, as long as the spindle head and
transition section are replaced.
